Cleveland Bridge
Details
Our Client began essential repairs on the Cleveland Bridge in Bath in 2021. However, after starting work our Client discovered extensive damage to concrete trusses which support the bridge deck. Severe corrosion has also been discovered within the structure's steel hangers. The corrosion was so severe that reopening the bridge fully would risk structure failure.
Obviously the above issue resulted in long delays to the construction works, which was made more complicated as road closures and traffic management had to be completely rescheduled.
CostPro were engaged to provide the Commercial Management of the project, with a focus on cost recovery and limiting exposure to liabilities.
